Russian citizens can enter 115 countries of the world without a visa
Without obtaining a visa, Russian tourists can now visit 115 countries, according to the new Passport Index for the third quarter of 2023. On this indicator, Russia is in the 49 place in the world, ahead of Turkey, Belarus, Kazakhstan and more than 100 other countries.
As per Passport Index, in the first half of 2023, Russia has obtained visa-free access to Djibouti and lost visa-free access in relations with Albania and three other countries. A year ago, Russia was one line below (50 place).
In the world ranking of the most powerful passports, the Russian Federation overtook Turkey by one position (114 countries) and China by 14 positions (63 place, 80 countries).
Additionally, it became known about the negotiations between Russia and six Latin American countries on the introduction of a visa-free regime.
At the moment, Russia has signed an agreement on a visa-free regime with 27 Latin American countries out of 33.
It is clarified that visa-free negotiations are currently underway with such countries as the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as Saint Lucia.
