The demand for ski resorts in Europe is growing among Russians
“This winter the Russian tour operators are noting an increase of demand for ski resorts in Austria, France, Italy and Andorra”, - said the press secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RCT) Irina Turina.
"The tour operators say about increasing of depth of sales. And, after a partial outflow from the online booking segment, the regular customers return for services to travel agents," - she said.
According to I. Tyurina, the tour operators assess the overall growth of sales of ski destinations by an average of 20-25%.
The Head of the French and Italian department of the "Jet Travel" company Larisa Smirnova noted a significant increase of bookings of trips to resorts in France and Italy after a two-year recession. As told CEO "Danko" Oksana Lylintseva, the sales are actively increasing not only to these destinations, but also to Austria and Andorra.
"In general, all the ski destinations considerably have grown this year. In particular, because the former customers came back. I think, the customers realized, that the independent trip became expensive and not always of such kind they waiting. For example, the individual transfer to the resort will be much more expensive than the group one from tour operator", - said O. Lylintseva
The company "Sodis" marked decline of interest for the expensive resorts such as Courchevel: a lot of fans of such rest shifted to Swiss St. Moritz.
According to the "Anex Tour" company, Andorra has shown an increase of 45% against the last year. Basically, the tourists planning their trips in advance, choosing 4-5 - stars hotels.
