Situation with Intrevel Stoleshniki tour operator

On July 20 the tour operator Intravel Stoleshniki announced the termination of activities. His liability is insured in four insurance companies for a total amount of 80 million rubles. But 30 million of them are registered in IC Investstrakh, which license was revoked in April. Another 552.5 thousand rubles are in the fund of personal responsibility. As the tour operator says, the financial guarantee should be enough to compensate all the tourists. “More than 730 tourists of Intrevel Stoleshniki have a rest abroad, everyone has paid for accommodation and return tickets, so no one needs to be removed from resorts”, - said the Press-secretary of the Russian Tourist Industry Union (RTU) Irina Turina on Friday. “Now 731 clients of the company are on vacation in Russia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Greece, Dominican Republic, Spain, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia and Montenegro. The depth of sales reaches November 2018, as of today about 900 tours were sold. The tour operator has started creating a register for insurance companies", - she added.
