Siam Wings launches charter flights from Krasnoyarsk to Thailand’s top resorts
A new Thai carrier, Siam Wings Airlines, has begun operating charter flights from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, to three popular resort destinations in Thailand: Phuket, U-Tapao (Pattaya), and Krabi. The inaugural flight departed for Krabi on October 7 with a full load of passengers, according to the press service of Krasnoyarsk International Airport.
Krasnoyarsk is a major city in Siberia, Russia, located on the Yenisei River. With a population of over one million, it is the second-largest city in Siberia and an important industrial, cultural, and transportation hub.
The new charter service will operate once every 12 days on each route, using wide-body Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with 345 passenger seats. Tickets are sold through tour operators as part of package holidays. The first flight to Krabi was fully booked, and passengers received branded gingerbread as a gift from the airport before departure.
“Thailand is the most popular international destination for our passengers. In just three summer months, we served more than 36,000 passengers on flights to Phuket and Bangkok. The arrival of a new carrier increases competition and expands choices for travelers planning vacations in Southeast Asia,” said Kirill Yermakov, General Director of Krasnoyarsk Airport.
Siam Wings Airlines becomes the third carrier operating direct flights from Krasnoyarsk to Thailand. Aeroflot currently flies four times a week to Bangkok and twice a week to Phuket, while Nordwind Airlines operates to Phuket once every 12 days.
Siam Wings Airlines is a new Thai carrier registered in 2023 and based at U-Tapao International Airport. In May 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand granted the airline a license for commercial passenger operations. The airline’s first aircraft, an Airbus A330-200, arrived at its U-Tapao base in July 2026, marking a significant step toward the launch of commercial services. With its base near Pattaya, Siam Wings aims to offer an alternative access route to Thailand’s eastern coast and popular resort areas.
