Russian tourists are buying up tours to Greece for the summer with 12-15% discount

Early booking of Greek resorts in 2019 shows a double-digit increase against the same period last year - tourists realize an obvious benefit and try to purchase tours in advance.  
According to tour operators, early booking of Greek destination undergoes ahead of last year’s schedule. The growth in sales of early booking tours is estimated by tour operators from 10% to 50%. 
So, in January the increase in early bookings of tours in Greece for summer 2019 from Mouzenidis Travel tour operator amounted 60%, from Intourist - 20-30%, from Biblio-Globus - 10-15%. ANEX Tour’s sales of tours to Greece in January are already 1.5 times higher than were the figures for the same period in 2018. 
In 2019, the action of early booking in Greece differs not only in growth rates. 
“If earlier, the sales within early bookings in Greece always started exclusively for expensive 5* and 5* Deluxe hotels, now at the initial stage of action we are noting a serious increase in demand for mid-level and mass-segment hotels,” says Yevgeny Kiselev, the senior sales manager of Mouzenidis Travel. 
This trend was confirmed by ANEX Tour, and the operator also notes a record growth in sales of high-level 4*+ and 5* hotels. The company explains this, among other things, with good prices for the popular hotel chain Grecotel. In addition, ANEX Tour separately emphasizes the increased interest for Greek tourism products from Moscow retail. 
As for the structure of demand, according to Intourist, now Greek islands of Crete and Rhodes are traditionally leading in demand, this is confirmed by other companies. According to ANEX Tour, the most popular duration of tours to Greece in the summer season of 2019 is 7-10 nights, apartments and 3* - 4* hotels on All Inclusive basis are the leaders in demand. 
All players note the increased depth of sales. According to Biblio-Globus, it already reaches September 2019. Due to this growth, a number of analysts predict that the proportion of summer tours purchased by tourists within early booking program will be significantly higher than in the past years.
