Russian-Indonesian Business Forum: effective incentives for the development of industry, infrastructure, tourism
On August 2, 2018, Moscow hosted the Russian-Indonesian Business Forum organized by the Business Council in the framework of the III Festival of Indonesia and held at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Russia and the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia with the support of the Department of Culture of Moscow. During the event, there was an active discussion of the current state and immediate prospects of bilateral trade and economic relations from investment projects to the infrastructure of the provinces of Indonesia before the presentation of the tourism potential of Indonesian regions. More than 600 representatives of Russian and Indonesian companies and authorities attended the Forum, which took place in the format of a plenary session and an open panel discussion on a wide range of trade and investment issues, as well as three separate thematic sessions on industry and energy, tourism and transport infrastructure, and supplies palm oil. Agustini Rahay, Director for Cooperation with European Countries, arrived in Moscow to attend the Forum and meetings with representatives of Russian tour operators. In the third thematic session "Tourism, Infrastructure and Transport: Expanding Cooperation on the Way to the Growth of Tourism Flows", representatives of Rosturizm, airlines and leading tour operators presented their views on the possibilities of attracting tourists to the country of thousands of islands, which for the first 6 months of 2018 amounted to more than 68.8 thousand people. This exceeded the figures for the same period a year earlier by almost 10%.
