Russia and China stimulate tourism in Europe
Thanks to the restoration of the Russian market European tourism is also growing. According to the fresh European Tourists Commission (ETC) data, in the first eight months of 2017 32 of 34 European countries reported about an increase of the number of arrivals from Russian Federation.
According to the latest information from ETC, international tourist arrivals to Europe in January-August this year increased by 8% against the same period in 2016. In the next year the Russian market will retain its positive development dynamics.
"Russian tourist flows to Europe have recovered, as the Russian economy overcame a deep recession. It is expected that improving of economic conditions will stimulate the growth of private consumption and investment in business", - the report says.
It is noteworthy that the European study several times refers to an example of the returning of the Russian tourist flow to Turkey. In Europe this "come back" was called as "the greatest", adding that after restoration of charter flights to Turkey this year on Turkish beaches there were 800% more Russian tourists in comparison with the same period in 2016.
"The long-term prospects of the Russian market look positive: the increase of the number of Russian tourist arrivals to the countries of the European region is expected to reach plus 10% by 2020", - the ETC report emphasized.
