Reduction of out coming tourist flow from Russia amounted 20% for the year
“The reduction of out coming tourist flow from Russia is continuing the third year, as a whole it is about 20% for 2016”, - told the vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RCT) Yuri Barzykin on Monday
"The main challenges we face - is the need to stimulate consumer demand, the product quality and safety. The trend of growth of internal tourism continues the third year. The reduction of out coming flow for the third year also is the same trend. The overall decline for the year will be about 20%. And the same picture we see at Christmas and New Year holidays", - said Y. Barzykin.
According to him, Russia has practically no prospectless regions in tourism sphere. There was product diversification - expanding of the range of services while reducing the cost of the basic package.
Y.Barzykin recalled that, on average the growth of internal flow amounted 18% for the 10 months of 2016. In particular, the Krasnodar region hosted more than 15 million tourists, Crimea - about 6 million, Altay - 2 million, St. Petersburg - 7 million.
