Philippines in 2016 was visited by 35 thousand Russian tourists
“In 2016 Philippines was visited by 35,000 Russian tourists and the country is going to increase their number”, - said Ashley A. Lavilla, the founder of the consulting agency for tourism and travel Ninuno. According to her, the Russian tourists mostly prefer rest on Boracay, Palawan and Cebu islands. The growth of the tourist flow is braking by the absence of direct communication between Moscow and Manila. The direct flights are only available from Vladivostok. E.Lavilla stressed that Philippines is ready to provide a fully safe rest for all tourists, including those arriving from Russia. According to her, none of the foreign tourists were injured due to recent fighting in the Philippine province of Mindanao, because of which the President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte was forced to interrupt his official visit to Moscow. According to her, if crime was flourishing in Philippines in the 2000s, now the situation in the country - and first of all at the resorts - has stabilized. E.Lavilla told about prices for the rest - "the price for air transportation is about $ 600-700 and $ 2,000 approximately you will live in a 5-star hotel. But depending on the choice of rest style, everything can be much cheaper. There are hotels for $ 10 per night".
