Pegasus Airlines will continue to perform regular flights Istanbul - Nizhny Novgorod in winter
“Turkish lowcoster Pegasus Airlines has decided to continue direct scheduled flights on the route Istanbul-Nizhny Novgorod in the autumn-winter schedule”, - said in the press service of the Nizhny Novgorod airport.
Pegasus plans to fly twice a week on Mondays and Fridays. The trip takes 3 hours and 30 minutes. Flights are performed by Boeing-737-800.
"Initially, the airline planned to connect Nizhny Novgorod and Istanbul for the high summer season, but after evaluation of the demand, it changed the decision. According to the summer results, the city is in the TOP 5 of the most popular destinations among the Nizhny Novgorod citizens", - the press release says.
As reported, Pegasus Airlines launched regular flights on the route Istanbul - Nizhny Novgorod in late June. The flight program from Nizhny Novgorod airport started since June 21. Flights were performed three times a week.
At the same time, another Turkish airline Atlasglobal in the end of May started regular flights on the route Istanbul - Nizhny Novgorod. Flights were performed by A321 liner four times a week (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). However, since June 23 Atlasglobal has stopped these flights. The airline explained that it had not found enough passengers.
