Israel resumed its winter program on subsidizing flights to Eilat
“Israel has resumed the winter program of subsidizing flights to Eilat, within which the Ministry of Tourism of the country return the companies, organizing flights to Uvda airport, 45 Euros for each passenger”, - told reporters the Director of the department of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in Russia and CIS Ksenia Kobyakova. "We have renewed the charter program for the winter season, the main part of the program will start in October", - she said. Kobyakova added that this year 12 flights per week are performed from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Eilat, while last year their number reached 7-8. According to her, the subsidizing of the winter season (from October to April) remained at the level of the last year and is 45 Euros for each tourist. "In addition, we still have a program to support regular flights to Tel Aviv from other cities. Last year within this program a new flight from Samara was launched, this year the flight from Mineralnye Vody is planned", - the Director of the department added. Earlier, the results of the implementation of the program in the last winter season were recognized as successful in the Ministry of Tourism of Israel. From October 2, 2016 to April 9, 2017, 150 flights were performed with an average load of 82%, whereas from October 8, 2015 to April 9, 2016, 80 flights to Israel's southern airport were organized with an average load of 73%. In total, in the past winter season 26 thousand Russian tourists arrived to Uvda airport, which is 113% more than in the same period a year earlier.
