Israel increases the compensation for Russian tourists in Eilat

Israel Ministry of Tourism reported about the decision of the Parliament to abolish airport taxes for the flights arriving Uvda airport. It is expected that this measure will make the charter transportation to the resorts of Eilat more attractive. In this regard, the Ministry of Tourism of Israel extended until 27 October the deadline for applications in this incentive program from airline companies and tour operators which organize international flights from Russia to Uvda airport. Recall, that according to this program, the company will be paid € 45 per passenger, if it will provide no less than 16 flights to Uvda and back within the period October 4 of 2016 - April 10 of 2017. The Director General of "Base Travel" Andrei Sokolov pointed out that the Ministry of Tourism of Israel promised to clarify the date of beginning of the program and the amount of airport charges in the near future. However, he believes that innovation does not significantly change the overall sales picture. "I suppose that it will be about 10-15 dollars per person - a nice bonus to the operators, but no more", - he concluded.
