Israel expected 600 thousand tourists from Russia in 2017
“In 2017 Israel expected to host 600 thousand Russian tourists like in 2014”, - said in an interview to "Bulletin of ATOR" the head of department of the Israel Ministry of Tourism in Russia and CIS countries Ksenia Kobyakova. "According to the results of September and October we noted an increase of tourist flow against the previous year. So, in September Israel was visited by more than 26.5 thousand Russian tourists, an increase is 8% compared to 2015. We expect the positive dynamics in the results of November and December. Our goal for 2017 is to reach the figures of 2014, when Israel has hosted about 600 thousand tourists from Russia", -. K. Kobyakova added. The demand for tours to Israel is growing, including the input of wide charter programs implemented by Russian tour operators. The Israeli government subsidizes these flights: for every Russian tourist, who arrives to the airport Uvda, the tourist market participants receive 45 Euros from the country's Ministry of Tourism.
