In the autumn season the charter programs of tour operators showed summer volumes
Contrary to gloomy forecasts, in August-September the number of charter flights remained almost at the summer level. The general director of Vipservice Holding, Dmitry Gorin, said that over the reporting period, from August 15 to September 15, Russian airlines performed 3,781 charter flights in the interest of tour operators. "These figures indicate a good level of activity of tour operators and intensive sales - the indicators are almost at the peak of the season," said Dmitry Gorin. Thus, the expert notes, the decline in sales and the scale of the reduction of charter programs in the second half of the season turned out to be quite different from what some media predicted. At the same time punctuality of charter carriers remained at a good level - it is lower than at the beginning of the season. The average percentage of delays of charter flights for this period was 3.8%. For comparison, for the period 15.05 - 14.06 this indicator was at the level of 4.1%, for the period 15.06 - 14.07 - 3.6%, for the period 15.07 - 14.08 - 3%. Recall, that carriers have to get permits for charter flights from December 2017, when the new Regulation of the Federal Air Transport Agency came into force. Permits for charter programs for October were received by all airlines in the requested volumes, except Yakutia. The airline continues to have problems with punctuality. It was decided that Yakutia will perform all the flights in accordance with obligations to such destinations as Turkey, Greece and Italy until mid-October. Then, the permits for new programs will be issued by Rosaviatsia only after the removal of all points of criticism. "The measures, connected with Yakutia, will have no effect on tourists - the airline will fulfill its beach programs, and then only regional charter chains to Korea and China will remain in its assortment," told Dmitry Gorin.
