EU: almost 70% of issued Schengen visas to Russians are multi-entry ones.

During the year after the introduction of biometrics in Russia, the share of Schengen muli-visa issued to Russian travelers increased by 10% and reached 68% of the total – informed the official Twitter of the EU Office in Russia. "In 2015 in Russia 3.4 million Schengen visas were issued, including multiple - 2.3 million. Share of multi-entry visas was 68%. Due to the transition to the VIS (Visa Information System), their share increased by 10%", - said in the message. “Since September 2015 Russia opened 80 visa centers, they are now working totally in 57 cities across the country and simultaneously the demand for "Mobile Biometrics" is constantly increasing”, - noted in the Office.
