Demand for winter Tenerife grew by 30% among Russians

Experts explain the increase in demand by a combination of a number of factors that this year stimulate an increase of interest in Tenerife. Among them are the year-round season and the availability of tour operators’ blocks of seats on regular flights. Prices for tours start from 46 thousand Rubles (652 Euros) per person with a flight. 
Specialists of the operator Russian Express note an increase in demand for Tenerife this year by 30%. A whole range of reasons affects the flow - from climate to convenient transportation. The season in Tenerife lasts all year round: air temperature does not fall below 19°C even in winter and water below 18°C. Air transportation is also convenient for tourists. So, Russian Express offers blocks of seats on S7 flights on Mondays and Fridays. Also, there are tours on direct scheduled flights of S7 and Aeroflot airlines. 
“The destination is booked very well, the depth of sales is until March. This may be connected with disorders in Barcelona or with the situation with Thomas Cook on the market. Although these facts, for example, had no effect on prices. The demand is so high that New Year tours are already sold out completely. Probably because Tenerife is the only place in Europe where you can swim in November-December period,” says Anna Filatovskaya, the director of the advertising and PR department of Russian Express. 
The company also notes that the Russians began to book expensive hotels on Tenerife less often. The priority of tourists is 3-4* hotels or apartments located in the south of the island.
