In the first half of June, the intensity of booking of trips lasting 2-3 nights for the end of June is 25% higher than in the same period of 2016. This follows from the operational statistics provided by the Booking Center of the United Network TBG and Hot tours companies.
The biggest demand, like a year earlier, has the short trips to Russian resorts - 30% of search requests. On the second place is Turkey - 22% requests. On the third place is Montenegro and Greece and Cyprus close the TOP 5.
The tour operators confirm the tendency of growth of short tours popularity, however they explain it by different ways. The general director of Pegas Touristik Anna Podgornaya is sure that the main reason for travelers to rest at the southern resorts was the unusually cold weather that was in the European part of Russia in the first summer month. But Biblio Globus company explains this tendency by solely economic reasons – the short tours often have the lucrative SPO, which budget tourists try to use.
