Demand for expensive tours to Turkey increased by 40%
Russian tourists are increasingly booking premium hotels in Turkey. The demand for more expensive tours has increased by 30-40% compared to last year, representatives of the tour operator Coral Travel reported.
“Premium Turkey is very popular among tourists with children. It can be assumed that demand has grown by 30-40% compared to last year. In addition, sales growth has also grown compared to last year,” said the leading manager of the travel agency Mesta Mira Aida Eralieva.
As madam Eralieva noted, due to the increase of prices for Turkey, tourists prefer more expensive accommodation facilities that will correspond to a high level of service.
“Quality hotels have a developed infrastructure for holidays with children. This is the main category of tourists who choose Turkey for the summer,” she explained.
According to the travel agent, if we talk about all Russians, the resorts of Antalya are in demand, but Muscovites are more interested in hotels oriented towards European tourists. Residents of the capital are more likely to book premium accommodation in Bodrum and Fethiye.
The increased demand for premium holidays in Turkey among Russians is also recorded in the Paloma Hotels & Club Marvy hotel chain, where booking rates have increased by 40% year-on-year.
"The hotels’ occupancy is better than have many other hotels in Turkey, because our hotels work for the European market. There is a good depth of sales. Despite the fact that the share of Russians in our hotels varies at the level of 15-30%, sales increase by 40% year on year," said Victoria Kose, head of sales and marketing department of the network.
As she informed, the average duration of holidays for Russian tourists in premium hotels in Turkey is 8-9 nights.
