Daily flights to India will be demanded among Russian tourists
Due to international sanctions, Aeroflot has terminated its flight program to almost all foreign destinations, including Delhi. In the absence of a Russian carrier, Air India is ready to fly to Moscow daily, as it was before March 2020. In addition, the Indian airline is also considering launching flights from Mumbai to Moscow.
Experts from tour operators Intourist, Anex Tour and China Travel call the increase of the number of Air India flights to Russia as a promising step for several reasons.
Firstly, it gives chances for the revival of outbound tourism, since India can offer Russians a variety of recreation.
According to China Travel experts, the increase of the number of Air India flights will stimulate demand for travel to the Indian state of Goa, which, due to the termination of direct flights of Rossiya airline, can now be reached with changes.
“Goa continues to be in high demand for Russian tourists, freelancers and other professionals who can work remotely,” ChinaTravel stressed.
Regular transportation can help to reduce prices for tours to India. Now on the market, a week-long tour with a flight to Goa costs from $ 2 700 for two persons. Market participants are hoping for a reduction of prices after an increase of transportation volumes.
Representatives of the tourist market do not exclude the return of interest in sightseeing tours to India from individual tourists, especially with the resumption of direct flights from Moscow to Mumbai.
Secondly, Intourist believes that the increase of Air India traffic will attract Indian tourists to Russia.
