Citizens of 113 countries will be able to enter Russia with an electronic visa from 2021

As Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, State Secretary Evgeny Ivanov said, citizens of 113 countries will be able to enter the Russian Federation with an electronic visa from January 2021.

“We expect that from January 2021, citizens of 113 states will be able to enter Russia without having to apply for a paper visa in a passport. The total population of these 113 states is about 4 billion people, or half the world’s population!” Ivanov said.

He noted that "citizens of those states, the list of which will be approved by the government of the Russian Federation, will be able to use an electronic visa."

“Currently, the list of states whose citizens can enter the areas of the pilot project with electronic visas includes 53 countries - EU member states, China, Japan, India, Turkey and so on.  The pilot areas are the Far Eastern Federal District, Kaliningrad Region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region," said the deputy foreign minister.
