Bulgaria is preparing to host Russian tourists according to the new rules
Director General of the tour operator Solvex Dimitar Tsonev said that the opening of resorts in Bulgaria can be expected from July 1, but the exact date depends on the development of the epidemiological situation. These preliminary dates were outlined by the Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova, emphasizing that the season will be late.
Prime Minister Boyko Borisov on May 4 ordered to prepare a bill on cancelation of the restrictions. But now many hotels are conducting systematic preparatory work.
The new epidemiological rules are interesting: resorts are required to follow to additional standards. According to the Minister of Health, Kirill Ananyev, the distance between sunbeds and umbrellas should be at least 4 m for one vacationer and at least 8 m for two people, and only for members of the same family. Sanitation of all equipment and public spaces must be carried out every hour, and staff must work in masks and gloves.
Sanitary innovations are already introduced by the hotels themselves. So, on the website of the popular resort of Albena, new internal rules were published, according to which mandatory disinfection of all arriving cars and a double check of the temperature of guests will be carried out.
The closed borders of Russia and the cessation of flights are the main obstacles which brake Russian tourists to visit Bulgaria this summer. “According to some reports, airlines will announce the flight program in our destination not earlier than in June. Everything will depend on the decision of governments and sanitary measures," says the head of Solvex.
