ATOR: tours to the Maldives have fallen in price
The launch of Azur air charter program to the Maldives has allowed tour operators to reduce prices for tour packages, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) reports.
On October 28, the tour operator Coral Travel has launched a flight program to the Maldives based on Azur air charter flights. One flight per week will be operated on Fridays until November 16, then two on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
“The charter program to the Maldives is long-awaited for the market. In the context of rising prices for air tickets abroad, charters make it possible to arrange the most affordable tour packages. Recently, the market has seen an increase of the popularity of budget travel. The average duration of tours to the Maldives has decreased from 10 to 7 nights. Budget accommodation has become the most in demand: tourists are increasingly choosing guesthouses and inexpensive hotels,” ATOR emphasizes.
According to the Association, Coral Travel's mid-November prices start from $ 2 948 for two persons for 7 nights accommodation at The Bilimbi guesthouse with breakfast.
A tour to the Kandima 5* hotel with breakfast will cost from $ 4 897 for two, and to the Brennia Kottefaru 5* hotel, AI - from $ 5 863 for two persons.
