ATOR: The closure of more than 250 hotels in Turkey will not affect Russians' summer vacations

Over 250 hotels will be closed after the tragedy at the Kartalkaya ski resort. The fire that occurred at the Grand Kartal Hotel on January 21 took lives of 78 people. 

The closure of Turkish hotels, not meeting the safety requirements, will not affect Russian tourists, who choose Turkey as a summer vacation destination. This was reported at Zvezda TV channel by Artur Muradyan, Vice President of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). According to him, the closed hotels are not top or popular in the Russian tourism market. Moreover, Muradyan emphasized, the hotels are closing “not because of lack of tourists, but because of non-compliance with fire safety measures”.
