Another tour operator will launch charters to Fukuok in the winter season
According to the results of the first half of 2018, the Russian tourist flow to Vietnam grew by 8%. Tour operators are hoping for good sales till the end of the second half of the summer. Large players are already expanding flight programs for the winter and are launching new charters to the island of Fukuok, which was extremely successful last year. According to the Vietnamese National Tourism Administration (VNAT), during the first 6 months of 2018 338,393 tourists from Russian Federation visited the country. This is 7.9% more than in the same period of the last year. Despite the traditional reorientation of Russian demand at the beginning of the summer season to closer beach destinations, the number of arrivals from Russia to Vietnam in June 2018 is actually at the level of June 2017 (37.6 thousand people, -1%). Other operators also agree that a high interest for the "near beach" affects summer demand, but, paradoxically, they see an increase of sales of Vietnam totally for whole year. So, ANEX Tour operator increased summer bookings of Vietnam by 2-3%. PEGAS Touristik notes an increase of demand by 10-15% against the same period of 2017. The charter transportation to Vietnam will be offered this winter by Coral Travel, PEGAS Touristik and ANEX Tour. PEGAS Touristik increases the number of departures. So, the flights to Nha Trang are currently planned from Moscow, Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk, Samara, Surgut, Ufa, Perm, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Blagoveshchensk, Chelyabinsk and Khabarovsk. From Moscow the flights are scheduled 3 times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays by Nord Wind airline (last year - 2 frequencies per week).
