The resource "Vestnik ATOR" interviewed tour operators and online aggregators of package tours and made a rating of the most popular tourist destinations for the autumn season - the period from the beginning of September to the end of October.
The rating of the most popular directions of the autumn season, compiled on the basis of the volume of booked tours for this or that country, practically does not differ from the TOP of the most popular areas of the summer season. Absolute majority of tourists in the first months of autumn is looking for opportunities to extend the summer and rest at the beach.
According to the data of almost all "mass" tour operators, such as Pegas Touristik, TUI Russia, NTK Intourist, ANEX Tour - Turkey is on the first line of the rating of tourist preferences in the autumn. Only in Biblio Globus Turkey is out of the rule – on the first place in the sales structure of this company is Russia, followed by Cyprus. Turkey is only on the third place.
Thus, we can state that Turkey as a tourist destination has not suffered serious losses due to the media panic around the Coxsackie virus and is still the leader.
Russia among the largest tour operators in the autumn season, like in the summer, occupies the second line (NTK Intourist) to the fifth line (Pegas Touristik). According to the data of tour operators, in the autumn season of 2017 tourists often choose such resorts in Russia as Greater Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, Yalta, Yevpatoria and Alushta.
Cyprus, Spain and Greece are also represented on the various places in the autumn ratings of almost all the mass tour operators. Also among the best-selling destinations for mass tour operators are Tunisia, Montenegro, Vietnam, Italy, Thailand and Bulgaria.
