What countries and resorts have chosen organized tourists for the New Year-2018

The ATOR Analytical Service analyzed the sales statistics of the three leading online aggregators of package tours and found out where Russian organized tourists celebrated the New Year 2018. As for foreign destinations, Thailand is the leading one among all online aggregators of package tours. Thailand has from 21% to 11% of all online tours sold by tour operators for New Year's dates. Among all aggregators New Year tours to Thailand were bought mainly to Phuket and Pattaya, basically in 3 - and 4 – stars hotels on the breakfast basis. The average duration was 10-11 nights. The average check for New Year tours to Thailand fluctuated between 151.6 and 183 thousand Rubles ($ 2650 - 3210). According to Sletat.ru, it is significantly (1.5 times) lower than during the previous New Year holidays. The second most popular foreign New Year destinations (for all companies) are United Arab Emirates. This direction has a share from 16% to 13.5% of all sold tours. The most popular resort in UAE for the New Year’s dates is Dubai - from 50% of demand and above. The second most popular emirate is Sharjah. The average cost of sold tours here fluctuated from 109.4 thousand up to 121,8 thousand Rubles ($ 1912 - 2122) for 3-stars hotels and around 192 thousand Rubles ($3370) for 4-stars hotels. The third place among the foreign New Year destinations is divided between India (Goa) - from 5 to 14% and Czech Republic - from 9.7% to 4% of all New Year tours sold by different companies. On the fourth line is Turkey with a share from 6.25% to 10% among various companies. All major resorts are popular on these dates (Belek, Kemer, Alanya, Side, etc.). Here, in contrast to the New Year’s contingent of tourists from other destinations, the share of families with children is quite high. On the fifth place is Vietnam with a share of sales from 4.5 to 5%. The most popular resorts are Phan Thiet, Nha Trang and Fukuok. Going to celebrate New Year in Vietnam, the tourists (two-thirds or more - couples without children) chose mostly 4-stars hotels on breakfast basis. The average duration of tours is 9-11 nights, the average cost of New Year tours to Vietnam fluctuated around 130-160 thousand Rubles ($ 2280 – 2807).
