Turkish hoteliers forecast a 15% increase of the number of tourists from Russia

In Turkey the main planned figures for arrivals from two key markets were recently announced: 6 million tourists - from Russia and more than 5 million - from Germany. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu also has predicted the figures, being in Antalya. According to him, this year the country will achieve the results of 2014 - the most successful year in its tourist history and will host about 38 million tourists. According to Mevlut Cavusoglu, the growth of tourist flow will take place not only in the summer season, but also by such types of tourism as sightseeing, medical and sports tourism. The Russian professionals of the Turkish tourist industry also say about achievable reality for the Russian tourist flow to achieve the level of 6 million people in 2018. Earlier this figure was called by the Minister of Tourism Numan Kurtulmush. In April, having analyzed the course of bookings for the first three months of 2018, the Head of the Federation of Hoteliers of Turkey (TUROFED) Osman Ayryk confirmed these figures. He predicts an at least 15% increase of the Russian market noting that according to this scenario Russians will again, as in the past year, achieve the record number of tourist arrivals in Turkey. Recall that in 2017 Turkey has hosted 4.7 million of Russian tourists. As reported earlier Turkey by the results of early bookings 2018 is the undisputed leader on the Russian market.
