Turkish Antalya registered a record tourist flow

Taking into account the growth of Russian and European tourist flows to Antalya, Turkish experts specified the forecast for the number of tourists in 2018. According to the administration of Antalya, in June the resort updated its historic record for foreign tourist traffic, exceeding the most successful for Turkish tourism 2014. From January 1 to June 14, 2018, Antalya was visited by 3.787 million foreign guests, which is almost 55 thousand more than in the same period in 2014 and 44% more than it was in 2017. This success in Antalya is connected with the continued growth of the tourist flow from Russia and the gradual return of tourists from European countries. As reported earlier, for the first 5 months of this year more than a million Russians (+47% against the same period in 2017) already rested in Antalya. For the past year 3.8 million Russian tourists have rested at Turkish resort. This year in Antalya hope that for the Russian market this figure will be from 4.5 to 5 million people. In total, the resort expects to host from 12 to 14 million travelers from abroad (in 2017 it was almost 10.5 million foreigners). According to the forecasts of the Turkish authorities, about 40 million foreign tourists will visit Turkey this year, 6 million of which will come from Russia.
