Turkey was visited by 60 thousand Russians in September
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in Ankara on Thursday September 29 that after the restoration of charter air service with Russia the country was visited by 60 thousand Russian tourists. "After the abolition of the ban of charter flights from Russia there was a boom in our tourism sector. We were visited by about 60 thousand Russians in the past month”, - TASS quotes the Turkey president. He also said that he hoped not only on the full restoration of the Russian tourist flow by the end of 2017, but on its serious increase too. The Turkish authorities are doing everything possible for it. In particular, the previous governor of Antalya Munir Karaloglu said that Turkey is considering the possibility to extend subsidies for Russian charters in 2017. According to the official, the authorities would be willing to pay up to 6 thousand dollars for each flight. "The subsidy will operate until the end of 2016, and we discuss the possibility of extending it to 2017. Antalya is lobbying this issue", - said Munir Karaloglu.
