Turkey predicted the number of Russian tourists in 2018
Experts from Turkish aviation sector say that the country is able to increase incoming traffic from Russia by 15-20% in 2018. This prediction, based on an analysis of capabilities of air transportation, said the Head of Atlasglobal airline Murat Ersoy. In particular, he said that the record number of Russian tourists this year is far not a limit (let's recall, Turkish experts predicted that at least 5 million Russian tourists will arrive by the end of this year). In 2018, according to him, 15-20% more tourists can arrive to Turkey than in the current year. Based on available figures (Turkey has accepted 4.5 million tourists from Russia for 10 months of this year, the forecast is from 4.8 to 5 million by the end of the year), such growth can reach 5.5 - 6 million Russian tourists in the next year. Ersoy added that in the next year Atlasglobal will increase the number of flights in Russian direction by half. "This year we perform 60-70 flights a week in Antalya direction, transporting over 50 thousand people. Our goal for 2018 is to transport 500 thousand tourists between Turkey and Russia, carrying out 150-160 flights a week”, - said Mr. Ersoy (tenfold difference in the number of tourists is explained by the fact that the company received only temporary permission this year and did not fly the whole season - edited by "Vestnik ATOR"). Recall that according to flight programs of Russian tour operators for summer 2018, the carrier, in particular, will perform regular flights from Moscow and regions in the interests of tour operator "NTC Intourist".
