Turkey became the most popular foreign destination in Domodedovo airport in September
Turkey has become the most popular destination among abroad flights from Domodedovo airport (Moscow) in September. According to the press service of the airport - totally 100 flights were performed to Turkish resorts,
"In September 100 charter flights were implemented to Antalya and Dalaman and the passenger traffic of charter flights from Domodedovo to the Turkish resorts amounted 36.1 thousand people", - said in statement.
According to the airport data, in January-September 2016 the passenger traffic increased in 3.5 times to Larnaca (Cyprus), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Phuket (Thailand), Enfidha and Djerba (Tunisia). Since the beginning of the year, 789 thousand people were transported to these regions.
Totally, for this period the passenger traffic in Domodedovo amounted 22.2 million people, which corresponds to the level of the last year. The passenger traffic of international routes (minus Egypt, Turkey (until the resumption of air links) and Ukraine) increased by 5% compared to January-September 2015.
