This summer, 45% of surveyed Russian tourists with children will go on holiday abroad. The most popular destinations for holidays abroad are Turkey and Spain, according to an online travel agency's survey.
According to the survey, 18% of respondents are going to rest inside Russia, 16% will travel with their children to village, and about 12% of parents send their children to a camp (60% of them to a camp abroad, 40% to a camp in Russia). About 9% of children will spend summer holidays at home.
“Among overseas trips, parents most prefer Turkey (about 30%), Spain (14%), Cyprus (13%), Italy and Bulgaria (11% each), Greece and Thailand (8% each), Georgia and Estonia (6% each), Belarus and China (5% each). Approximately 20% of parents are planning to visit several countries with their children this summer,” reported Kupibilet.ru online agency.
According to the agency, 27.5% of parents plan to spend 20-40 thousand Rubles (273 – 545 Euros) for a child’s rest, 22% - more than 60 thousand (818 Euros), 18% - 10-20 thousand (136 – 273 Euros), 17% - 40-60 thousand (545 – 818 Euros), more than 14 % - less than 10 thousand (136 Euros).
In addition, the company asked respondents to name a place in the whole world, which, in their opinion, everyone should visit in childhood. Most parents called Disneyland. On the second place is rest on the sea, on the third line is rest in village. Other options include the Orlyonok and Artek camps (Russia), the rope park in Khotkovo, and European resorts with high-quality food and clean water.
Also, the Spanish amusement park PortAventura World, the Fairy Tale Museum in Sweden, the Moomin Trolley Museum in Finland, the village of Santa Claus, aquarium in Barcelona and others are in high demand.
The survey was conducted via email among subscribers of the agency, it was attended by 155 people who have children under the age of 18 years.
