“The Urals experts of tourism industry note the growth of out coming tourism. This summer the most popular directions among local tourists are Turkey, Cyprus and Greece”, - said the Executive Director of Urals Tourism Association Mikhail Maltsev. "According to our estimates, after extremely difficult years we felt an increase of about 65%. And the growth concerns all directions and, first of all – out coming tourism", - added M. Maltsev. According to him, in the summer season Turkey is on the first place by popularity. "The first place is Turkey, about 200 thousand people. Among them 160 thousand are from Ekaterinburg, the rest are from our nearest neighbors - Tyumen and Chelyabinsk regions," – informed Maltsev. He added that on the second place is Cyprus. Next follow Greece, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Tunisia, Georgia and Thailand. M. Maltsev noted that by the end of the year the growth of out coming tourism among Ural tourist could reach 60%. "Now three tour operators and two airlines have declared Turkey as a year-round destination, I mean Antalya. And in this connection we expect that Turkey will be on the first place by the end of the year," - he explained, adding that the list of leaders will also include UAE .
