Travel agents named the most popular destinations for Russians this summer

“Turkey, Greece and Cyprus became the leaders of demand among Russians in the summer period of 2017”, - said the Chairman of the expert council of the United Network of TBG and "Hot tours" Tatiana Dmitrova. According to her, Turkey in the summer of 2017 took 26.4% of all sales of travel agencies. On the second place is Greece with 21,2% of sales, on the third - Cyprus with 13,8%. Tunisia for summer vacations was chosen by 9.2% of clients of travel agencies, Spain - 8.2%, Italy - 4.3%. The resorts of Russia are only on the seventh place with 4.1% of sales. The TOP 10 of destinations includes Dominikana (2.5%), Bulgaria (2.2%) and Montenegro (2.2%). "This is the data of travel agencies, but it is important to remember that the bulk of tourists travel to Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea independently, and these figures do not reflect the real number of tourists who are resting in Russia", - T. Dmitrova said at the international tourism investment forum ITIF-2017. She also said that in the absence of Egypt in the winter season 2016-2017 Thailand became the leader of demand (26% of sold tours), then Vietnam (14.2%), Dominican Republic (11.5%), India (10.5%), United Arab Emirates (9.1%). Russian resorts in the winter were on the sixth place with 4.9% of sales.
