Tourist's flow from Russia to Turkey in June fell by almost 20%
In June, Turkey was visited by 19% less Russians than the same period in 2014, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. 652.7 thousand Russian tourists came to the country in June 2015 in comparison to 805.3 thousand Russians in June 2014.
Meanwhile, Russia in June was ranked first on the visits to Turkey, approximately 16% of the total tourist's flow into the country amounted to Russian tourists. In second place, Germany ensured 13.5% of visits (557 thousand tourists). United Kingdom is on the third place with 8.7% of the total tourists' flow to Turkey (358 thousand tourists).
Overall, the number of foreigners who visited Turkey in June 2015 decreased by 4.9% compared with the same month of last year and amounted to 4.1 million people.
For six months in 2015 in Turkey was visited by 14.9 million foreigners, which is 2.2% less than last year's result. Arrivals from Russia during this period fell by 24.3%.
