Tourist flow from Russia to Spain increased by 14% for five months

“For five months of 2017 Spain was visited by 305.1 thousand Russian tourists, which is 13.5% higher than the figure for the same period of the last year”, - according to the data of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) of the country. The total number of tourists who came to Spain in January-May 2017 amounted 27.933 million, which is 11.6% more than in the same period of the last year. Most tourists in five months came to Spain from the UK (6.405 million, + 10.9%), Germany (4.034 million, + 7.6%) and France (3.881 million, + 5%). In May tourist flow from Russia increased by 4.7% against the same month of the last year, amounting 81.7 thousand people. The total number of foreign tourists in May increased by 11.7%, (7.944 million). In 2016, 75.6 million tourists came to Spain, including more than 1 million Russians.
