Tour operators predicted the returning of Turkey to the sales leaders in the summer of 2017
“Tour operators evaluate Turkey's position at the summer season 2017 as a very confident”, -reported the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR) on Monday.
"The most of the leading tour operators have already opened early booking tours to Turkey for the summer season of 2017 and the first sales results show that the position of Turkey for the next season looks very high", - noted in the ATOR.
"Some tourists, who had chosen alternative destinations in summer of 2016, plans to return to Turkey next year. We are noting the demand for summer now: early booking opened in November and at once the applications began to come", - said representatives of the company "TUI Russia".
After resumption of charter flights to Turkey in autumn, the sales were very active. However, according to ATOR, the main Turkish resort - Antalya - shows the decrease by 45.3% of foreign tourist flow in the first 11 months of 2016 against the last year (up to 5.6 million people).
