Tour operators note the growth in demand for cheap tours in Italy
Italian destination is in revitalization. Airlines launches new flights, tour operators go to the new regions of the country and report on high rates of sales.
The Adriatic coast and Rimini remain in the top of summer Italy, as the most budget Italian resorts. Nevertheless, the Russians have already tasted the new regions of Italy not so popular among tourists - the Tyrrhenian coast (Calabria), Sicily, the Riviera di Ulisse, the Sorrento peninsula.
Players try to meet the needs of tourists, expanding the range of new resorts and programs. According to experts, in general, in different regions the demand for Italy this year is higher than last year’s one by an average of 30-35%.
The initiatives of regular carriers - S7, Ural Airlines, Aeroflot, which have launched new flights to the different airports in Italy this year, unexpectedly coincided with the interests and plans of players on the organized market segment. High competition on the destination does not allow airline fares to grow, tour operators willingly take blocks of seats, refusing mostly from charters. This, in turn, allows them to provide a variety of quality tours to customers.
But, on the one hand, “the general optimization of charter boards, which took place on the Italian destination this year, made it possible to sell tours without dumping and broad special offers,” says Yulia Berdnikova, the head of Italy’s department of PAC Group.
On the other hand, Intourist notes, regular airlines and low-cost airlines arranged a price war among themselves.
The main summer flight programs are focused on Rimini. Tour operators, working in this region (PAC Group, TUI Russia, TEZ Tour) took blocks of seats on Ural Airlines flights, and Intourist tour operator - on Red Wings airline.
ANEX Tour operator this year for the first time added tours to Rimini with charter flights of Red Wings airline. In addition to block programs, tour operators use dynamic packaging, which allows them to satisfy any tourist needs regarding the length of holiday, geography and price.
“In connection with the launch of dynamic packaging on our new website, we can offer holidays in Italy with regular flights from 12 countries and 54 cities,” underlined Yulia Berdnikova from PAC Group.
