This summer Croatia is expecting 10-15% growth of tourist flow from Russia

“From January till May 2017 there is a positive dynamics of the tourist flow from Russian Federation to Croatia in comparison with the same period of 2016 - we see a significant increase of the number of nights - about 20%”, - said Raiko Ruzicka the Head of the tourist office of the Republic Croatia in Russia. We are planning to further popularize all-season holiday’s ministerial program for Russians in Croatia, which is based on the development of year-round tourism. In this regard, we are considering special projects with Russian tour operators and our office organizes b2b events in this sphere. This year special attention was paid to health tourism, which in the future, according to our plans, should become one of the most important types of tourism in Croatia. The potential for this direction is great: for the past 10 years both business and the state have actively invested in the development of medical and sanatorium infrastructure. According to information from local hoteliers, Russian tourists show an increasing interest in health and SPA tourism: the growth of the number of arrivals from Russia for the first 4 months of this year is about 18%. But we expect much greater growth in cooperation with major Russian tour operators.
