"Ural Airlines" in the winter season 2017 will begin flights from St. Petersburg to Tenerife. This was reported on October 12 in the press service of the carrier. The flight will be carried out from October 27 on Fridays and with refueling in Barcelona. The cost of one ticket starts from 20 thousand Rubles in one direction and will reach 48 thousand Rubles during New Year's holidays. Recall, the last time in winter you could fly to an island from the northern capital by "Aeroflot" in 2014. According to observers, the flight from St. Petersburg to Tenerife will be in demand among tour operators, as there are no alternatives to it. TEZ Tour keeps a block of seats on it. The General Director of the tour operator in Spain and the Caribbean Evgeni Vasiliev informed when the flight will be non-stop. "At the first stage of the program, Airbus 320 will perform flights, making a technical landing for refueling at Barcelona airport. But in March the carrier receives Airbus 321, which will be able to transport tourists to the island by direct non-stop flight", - he said. According to the expert, the flight will help the St. Petersburg tourism players to restore the interest of tourists to the direction after a two-year absence of direct air traffic. TUI also bought a small block of seats. The press service of the tour operator noted that it was not possible to find alternatives to the canceled flight program from Moscow in connection with the cancellation of VIM-Avia flights. Therefore, from the capital the company will load the direction by the regular flights. Now two airlines perform flights from Moscow to Canary Islands: Azur Air and Aeroflot. After the collapse of VIM Avia one frequency (on Fridays) was lost, so the new flights of Ural Airlines, which also carries out the flights on this day of the week, may help to reduce the tension caused by the absence of VIM Avia on the direction. According to the press service of Ural Airlines, in the upcoming winter season the airline is not going to fly to Tenerife from Zhukovsky airport, as it was previously announced, at least – during this year. The trend of decreasing transportation on the direction, which started this spring, continues. The press service of ANEX Tour said that they have no plans to extend the charter program to Tenerife for the winter. It will be ended in early November.
