There are more countries and destinations with direct flights from Russia this summer comparing with the summer 2023.

Yandex Travel users have already visited more than 100 countries since the beginning of the year.  The demand is growing for trips to Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The service's analysts studied tourism trends upon the request of Forbes and compared the results of the first half of 2024 with the same period last year.

One of the main trends is the demand for Europe that has jumped by 63%. This was found out by analytics after studying the data on ticket search and hotel bookings from Yandex Travel. Now Russians themselves are conducting connecting routes via Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and the UAE. The most popular countries this season are Hungary, France, Italy, Serbia and Spain.a
