According to ATOR, Austrian ski resorts are in the top among Russians as a winter destination in Europe. This year tour operators noted an increase in demand for Austria. Marina Makarkova, the Head of the department for public relations of Coral Travel tour operator, reported that in the upcoming winter season first of all tourists book New Year dates and high season in February. Austrian ski resorts Zell am See, Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Bad Gastein-Badhofgastein, Mayrhofen, Sölden are very popular. In ICS Travel Group among the best-selling resorts for Russian tourists in Austria noted Ischgl, Mayrhofen, Sölden and Gastein Valley. PAC Group company estimated the growth of sales of ski tours to Austria at the level of 50% against the previous season. Earlier, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova informed that the growth of mutual tourist flows between the two countries is connected with the cross-year tourism of Russia and Austria. The start of the cross-year tourism was given in the winter 2017 in Vienna. The program of the year includes exhibitions, concerts, films, lectures and literary evenings.
