The tourist flow from Russia to Bulgaria may increase by 40% in 2017
“The number of Russian tourists to Bulgaria could grow by 40% in 2017 against the last year. The country is becoming a year-round destination for Russians”, - according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
As noted in the ATOR, most of the Russian tourists are interested in summer tourism. At the same time, thanks to the development of various tourist routes, Bulgaria as a year-round destination offers trips to the regions, balneo- and SPA-procedures, golf resorts on the Black Sea, cultural and historical tours, festival programs, ethnographic events, gastronomic and wine tourism.
This year more than 20 charters from Russia arrive to Varna and Burgas every day. In 2016, Russia took the fourth line in the rating list of incoming markets - 580 thousand people visited the country, which is about 20% more than it was in 2015. Last summer, Bulgaria was visited by 30% Russians more than in the same months of a year earlier.
