The Russian tourist flow to Indonesia has grown by 16% since the beginning of the year
From January to March of this year the number of Russian tourists visiting Indonesia showed a 16% increase compared with a similar period last year. It was reported in the Republic’s tourist office in Russia (VITO Russia).
“From January to March 2019 46 365 Russian tourists visited Indonesia. For comparison, during this period in 2018 we had 39,914 Russian visitors. Thus, our growth is 16.16%,” the office reported.
The office also noted that the main part of the Russian tourist traffic traditionally falls on the island of Bali (41,752 people in January — March 2019), the next most popular locations are Jakarta (about 2.5 thousand people), Batam and Bintan islands (slightly less than a thousand people).
In general, during this period Indonesia hosted 3,815,283 foreign tourists.
Recall that last year more than 125 thousand Russian travelers visited the country, which is 7% more than in 2017. Moreover, thanks to our compatriots, Russia was the first in terms of growth among all European markets.
