The Russian tourist flow to Czech Republic increased by 50% in the first half of the year
“In the first half of the year 2017 268,200 Russian tourists visited Czech Republic, which is 51.1% more than in the same period of the last year”, - said the Director of the representative office of the National Tourist Directorate “ChezhTourizm” in Russian Federation and CIS countries Alena Kudilkova. According to her, the Russians are on fourth place by number of arrivals, following tourists from neighboring countries - Poland, Slovakia and Germany. "Russians are on the first place by number of night stays in Czech Republic. In the first half of this year Russians stayed in Czech hotels on average 7 nights", - précised A. Kudilkova. She stressed, that Czech Republic is very pleased with these indicators of Russian market this year. "We expect a greater growth of tourist flow from Russia and other countries in 2018, when the 100-th anniversary of Czech Republic will be celebrated all the year round", - added A. Kudilkova. According to her, throughout the year 2018 in Czech Republic will be held various events dedicated to the anniversary, there will be tourist routes to the places connected with the history of the country. She added that in 2018 other Czech popular brands will be promoted in other countries, for example - Skoda and Moser.
