The Russian passenger traffic of Turkish Airlines has grown more than 30 times since 2006
“The passenger traffic of Turkish Airlines in the Russian direction has increased more than 30 times since 2006”, - said the Director General of Turkish Airlines in Russia Mefail Deribash, "In 2006 we transported only 60,000 passengers from Russia. We plan to close this year by figure of 1.5 million passengers only from Moscow, and if we add 9 more cities in Russia where we fly, this figure will exceed 2 million passengers. That is, the passenger traffic has increased more than 30 times", - M. Deribash said. They also said that over the past 10 years Turkish Airlines has demonstrated significant growth. "12-13 years ago the airline transported only 10 million passengers around the world, the fleet amounted only 60 airplanes. Today the company has 330 aircraft of age from 3 to 5 years, and transports almost 69 million passengers a year", - he added.
