The rise in prices for hotels in Greece has decreased two times
The cost of accommodation at hotels in Greece in the next year increased an average by 5%. Last year, prices rose by 10%. About the positive trend told Dimitris Haritidis, the head of the Greek office of TEZ TOUR. At the same time, you have no need to wait for cheaper tours on the destination, the expert believes.
“Prices for transfers and flights have risen a bit due to the rise in price of fuel. Do not forget that this year prices will be higher in Euros,” Dimitris Haritidis notes. In addition, according to him, a number of hotels have reduced discounts within the framework of early booking promotions from 25–30 to 20%.
However, tour operators are satisfied with the rates of early booking. So, TEZ TOUR and Ambotis Holidays report that the demand today remains at the same level as last year. And Mouzenidis Travel notes an increase of 40%.
“It’s obvious to us that every year more and more tourists think about their holidays in advance. Moreover, this autumn, for the first time, we note robust demand not only for 5* and luxury hotels, but also for budget ones,” said Alexander Tsandekidi, the head of the company.
Experts also hope that in the coming year there will be no drop in demand on the Greek destination, which was noted in 2018. This summer, the low rates in tourism industry were explained mainly by the World Cup held in Russia.
