The results of tourist season from Russia to Catalonia in 2017

“The tourist flow from Russia to Catalonia grew by 23% in 2017”, - reported the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). "Catalonia last year was visited by 688 thousand Russian tourists, which is 23% more than a year earlier. This is the best indicator for the last three years”, - informed the report. As noted in the association, Costa Dorada resorts has the greatest demand among Russian tourists in Catalonia due to the ability to combine beach and sightseeing tours, as well as the proximity of the famous amusement park Port Aventura and Reus city airport. Also Russian tourists with great relish go to Costa Brava, from where it is easy to visit Barcelona and Girona. The average cost of a week-long tour to Catalonia in spring-summer season 2018 from Russian tour operators varies from 20 thousand to 35 thousand Rubles (291 – 509 Euros). This tours include flights, accommodation, transfers and insurance. Experts believe that this year the demand for trips to Catalonia can grow by 15-20% in comparison with 2017. According to them, Catalonia resorts and Barcelona will be popular among Spanish destinations.
