The number of Russian travelers in Paris and the Cote d'Azur has increased
“Tour operators note the growing demand for budget trips to France such as Paris and the Cote d'Azur, tourists prefer longer tours in hotels of low category”, - said Irina Tyurina, the Press secretary of the Russian Tourist Industry Union (RCT). "The increase in the capital is from 15 to 25%, while sales of tours to the French Riviera grew by more than 40%. In this case tourists prefer to extend their vacation by reducing the category of the hotel ", - she clarified. According to her, the opening of flights of Rossiya airline from Moscow to Paris airport Orly stimulated the growth of group and individual tourist flows. Russian tourists in 2017 made more than 230 thousand trips to Paris - 51% more than a year earlier. Cote d'Azur is on the second line after the capital region and hosted 220 thousand Russian tourists, which is 19% higher than last year's figures.
