The number of Russian tourists in Spain increased by 13.6% in January-October 2017

“The tourist flow from Russia to Spain increased by 13.6% for 10 months of 2017”, - according to the Spanish National Institute of Statistics. In the period from January to October this year 1,042,715 tourists from Russia visited Spain, which is 13.6% more than in the same months of 2016. Only in October more than 80 thousand Russians came in this country. Most tourists to Spain come from Britain (17 million people since the beginning of 2017), Germany (10.8 million) and France (10.1 million). In January-October Spain hosted 73,403,289 foreign tourists, which is 9.2% more than in the same period of 2016. The tourist flow from Russia to Spain reached its peak in 2013 - when the country was visited by 1.6 million Russian tourists. In contrast, in 2015 only 956 thousand Russians came to Spain.
